Trump has had to face a lot of disasters (natural and men being crazy) so far during his term of Presidency. How do you think he's handling things so far?

When I first saw the title of the thread I thought you were talking about the disaster that is Trump's Presidency.
I thought he did pretty well with Hurricane Harvey and Irma, but really stuck his foot in his mouth with Puerto Rico. Honestly, this President is an embarrasement. He acts like a big baby most of the time. I'm worried he is going to start a war

It's really hard to know given how one side is so determined to prove he's a good president and the other side is determined to discredit him.

I'm worried that the Democrats, now pretty much become socialists, will actually succeed in overthrowing the government.

Imagine what it would be like to have us become Venezuela. Anyway, I think that Obama polarized the country quite effectively, so now we are in a state where everyone has to take a political stand--and the more adamantly the better (!)--on everything in life (entertainment, sport, etc.) instead of just living it.

I think the libs (and their puppets, the press) spin things SO biasedly that I just don't know what to think about his response to things. IF the little, tiny snippets the Press shows over and over ARE the totality of his response, then he desperately needs a new speech writer (or maybe READ the script he's given). But I think EVERYTHING is portrayed as an opportunity to mock and condemn Trump. Everything.

I read the other day that Melanna Trump gave the local school a few of Baron's Dr. Seuss books that he has outgrown. Normally, this would be simple. School libraries get books donated almost daily and they appreciate it, and all parents do the periodic "cleaning" of stuff their kid have outgrown. But because it was Mrs. Trump, BIG STORY. And because it was Mrs. Trump, the librarian rejected the books with a long, public, quoted-in-entirety rant about how Dr. Seuss books are horribly racist and hateful and divisive and how the Trump family is racist for owning these books. Hey. She was just donating some VERY POPULAR and HIGHLY praised kid books. If they didn't want them, they could have simply returned them. But instead, the Press is called in (guess who called in the press?) to make a HUGE deal out it and turned it into an accusations that the Trumps are racist.

As is clearly known, I've never been a Trump fan. And I didn't vote for him (I didn't vote for Hilary, either). But the leftest reaction is disgusting and very transparent. They are FORCING me to defend the guy!

Good point. We know for a fact that the Media does not report on the accomplishments of the President while playing up what it considers to be failures. This technique keeps the foot soldiers of the opposition party in a permanent state of agitation.

Not to mention that Mrs. Obama had contributed Dr. Seuss books, too. No outcry about that, of course.

That consequence has been noted by other observers, too. There is little chance that the Left will catch on to it, though.

Didn't know that. Confirms my suspicion.

Also, Mrs. Obama did read Dr. Seuss books to schoolchildren two successive years and publicly stated during one of the White House eggrolling events that Seuss books were favorites of hers, especially Green Eggs and Ham. The school librarian in this case who called the writings racist was herself pictured a year or two ago wearing, in the library, a Cat in the Hat chapeau while embracing a copy of a Dr. Seuss book.

It was polarized far earlier than President Obama. Social media added a new level of ability to be publicly critical of the President and anyone else for that matter. Otherwise, the news of the community which might have to travel through word of mouth or over the phone and would take a lot longer when social media such as twitter and facebook wasn't available.

The media pushes the divide to the extremes. Facebook doesn't help either when friends and family are goading each other with Trump shared posts and memes.

I'm just gonna put this out there...

If a war breaks out with North Korea (which - in my opinion, the US has already declared by introducing the sanctions it has) - but if violence breaks out - people are going to blame Trump.

News flash from the past, people - Bush was already rattling the war saber back in 2002. 15 years ago now. Remember when he said that N. Korea was part of the "Axis of evil"? It just wasn't yet time for sanctions and violence. Now that the US has introduced sanctions - war is likely to follow.

You can blame the big financial powers who are behind it - and not the puppets called presidents who just mostly do their bidding.

Don't blame the media. Donald is the one writing the insane tweets.

North Korea fires rockets at Japan, but Trump is the one who has started a war because...of tweets. (!)

There no longer is any connection in our society, it seems, between accusatory words and reality.

If you say ball players ought to live up to their contracts and just stand for the national anthem, tit is described as oppression. If some little old ladies of the Daughters of the Confederacy want to memorialize relatives who gave their lives for their homelands in a long past war, they are White Supremacists. But every Black Lives Matter demonstration that Ive seen features the Black Nationalist flag. It even is OK to fly it over some government buildings. No problemo. And of course everyone is a racist and a fascist according to one faction or its opposite number.

I wonder where this is going to stop.

Donald is almost as crazy as Kim Jung Un but he isn't as evil. Mind you, he is fairly evil :)

False Dichotomy.

The aggression didn't start as tweets or any other words. It started with crippling sanctions - by your government. The same kind of Sanctions that crippled Iraq. The same kind of Sanctions that put people into breadlines and starving in Germany post WW1. The same kind of Sanctions that threatened to cripple Japan before it attacked at Pearl Harbor.

YOUR COUNTRY is doing this. More precisely - the financial powers behind your country. Deal with it. Whether or not N Korea actually fired rockets (Pentagon and CNN don't exactly have great track records for reporting the truth!!) - it is YOUR COUNTRY that declared war with strict economic sanctions that greatly and adversely effects the common citizen of N Korea - who is not likely to hate any Americans - or perhaps just those like psalms91 who has casually suggested they be "bombed back to the stone age" elsewhere on this website. This is "Christian" talk by State loving/Warmonging "Jesus lovers". The fire in me burns at this "witness for Christ".

Deal. With. It.

That theory is laughable IMO. There have been sanctions of one sort or another placed on all kinds of things around the world since WW2, some by groups of nations as in this case, and some by the UN itself. Seldom has it meant the start of a war and never because of the sanctions alone.
