That article looked like it might have some interesting points but got progressively lamer until it was frankly comical.
Lots of "woulda coulda maybe mightabeen" stuff, and a few things that indicate either the writer, or the people they talked to, really don't understand what the faith is about.
1. The gospel accounts are inconsistent. Sure, they're written from different perspectives. A bit of variation is to be expected when the same story is told from different perspectives.
4. The empty tomb doesn't prove a resurrection. No, but it invites questions as to where the body went. If the Romans stole it you'd expect them to parade the dead Jesus around after three days to prove his words were worthless. If the disciples stole it (how they'd steal it, with Roman soldiers guarding it, isn't a trivial matter but never mind) you'd expect them to confess their prank rather than die over it. Grave robbers? What would they want with the body of a man who apparently died with nothing and no friends?
5. The post-resurrection appearances might have been hallucinations. Sure, and we might all be living in the Matrix.
6. The resurrection story might have been added later. Some (unspecified) scholars believe this might have happened. Ooooh.... what a compelling case. Not.
8. The Apostle Paul never met the physical Jesus. He never claimed he did. Sure, he might have had a massive hallucination but it was obviously something that convinced him to abandon his life of privilege and suffer some pretty nasty stuff. Sure, maybe he did make a mistake. But then again maybe he didn't. It's just a bunch of maybes.
9-10 are little more than speculation. Sure, it's great to talk up your guy and make him sound better than he really is. We see it every four years during electoral cycles. There's a difference between talking up your guy and being willing to die rather than accept your guy isn't as good as you're claiming.
11. The resurrection isn't essential. Good job writer, you just lost what little credibility you were hanging onto right there.
