So what's the deal with this new flag debate? My friend George texted me today while I was at work (Hi George!) and asked me if I hear about it. Nope, I hadn't. So what's the 411 without my having to look it up? :D

When I was a Girl Scout leader I think I recall hearing something about flag etiquette and how the US flag should always be on top.

Oooh I just found an article about all this: http://www.wnd.com/2015/07/church-flies-christian-flag-over-american-flag/

According to a report from WBTV in Charlotte, North Carolina, pastor Rit Varriale is placing the Christian flag at the top, with the American flag below it, on the flagpole at Elizabeth Baptist Church in the town of Shelby.

“Our typical flag etiquette is to have the American flag above the Christian flag. But when you stop and think about it, it should be our commitment to God first, then our commitment to country,” he told WBTV.

I thought you meant confederate battle flag also. I did notice today in the county where I work (which is very rural) that I saw more Confederate flags than normal. But, I also saw a lot of American flags.

Hi Georgie!

Even tho I AM a Christian I don't think its right to have the Christian flag above the American flag. That is very disrespectful to the non Christians. (just my thoughts) ;)

American flag should alway be above other flags, or they can fly side by side. But no flag should fly higher than the US flag in the USA.

If it is disrespectful to non-Christians, is flying the American flag disrespectful to non-Americans?

I wonder if people would get as upset over those who burn the flag. I find that very offensive

Why is one flag offensive to those who don't identify with it while another flag isn't offensive?
